00:24 As the president recently signed the Maharlika Investment Fund law, Senator Mark Villar appealed to critics
00:31 who wished to question the law at the Supreme Court to first give it a chance.

00:43 So, I hope that the bill has been passed.
00:46 Let's just support it. Let's do everything to make the Maharlika Investment Fund successful.
00:52 An initial 350,000 jobs will be created because of the Maharlika Fund, according to NEDA.
00:58 However, Villar admitted this investment fund is not an end-all, be-all to the country's economic woes.

01:24 Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri maintained the process in crafting the law was constitutional
01:30 and he is confident it can withstand any arguments against it in court.
01:36 Social Economic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan said he assures the MIF will not grow the country's debt.
