Microsoft's Launches AI Subscription Service

Microsoft shares surged 5.8% after the tech giant unveiled a new artificial intelligence subscription service for Microsoft 365. Microsoft's new subscription service, priced at $30 per month, gives users access to generative AI features within Teams, Excel, and Word, with the standout feature being Copilot, an AI assistant capable of handling tasks like email ranking, meeting summarization, spreadsheet analysis, writing prompts, and presentation design across Microsoft 365 applications. Copilot is being tested with 600 enterprise customers, including well-known companies like Goodyear and General Motors. However, Microsoft has not yet disclosed a specific timeline for the public rollout. Microsoft also announced a significant update to Bing Chat, its AI chatbot. The update introduces visual search capabilities, allowing users to take or upload photos to Bing Chat and request more information about the image through desktop or Bing apps.
