Dinosaurs come to life using a renowned team of animators and illustrators, transporting viewers to the prehistoric era to showcase up-to-date discoveries about dinosaurs, their culture and behaviors. The series shows the creatures to be far more active, complex and colorful than ever imagined - more like birds than plodding reptiles. Among the findings are a host of new behaviors, including exotic mating dances, the inner workings of T. rex's nuclear family, and the underwater birthing of a Mosasaurus. Also, new creatures introduced are a Jurassic flying squirrel and gigantic frogs.
