A woman had a lucky escape after the igniter on her gas oven malfunctioned and caused an explosion.
Student Gillian was celebrating her friend's Gayle's birthday in their apartment in Malabon City, Philippines, when the blow back happened.
CCTV footage shows the gas tank next to the oven explode as Gillian approaches the oven to cook a birthday meal for Gayle, shaking the room.
Fortunately, Gillian escaped injury, but the flames singed all the hair off one leg.
The footage was captured on March 20.
