IAEA Approves Japan's Plan To Discharge Radioactive Wastewater From Fukushima

The International Atomic Energy Agency, a U.N. watchdog, has given Japan the go-ahead to release into the Pacific Ocean treated wastewater used to cool the reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. The IAEA says the environmental impact of the mildly radioactive water would be negligible. Neighbouring countries' governments have condemned the findings.
