Parliamentary committee to examine experience of abuse survivors dealing with institutions

A parliamentary committee will examine the experience of child sexual abuse survivors in dealing with state, religious and other institutions in seeking compensation in the courts. Lawyers and advocates have described legal tactics by some defendants designed to delay and wear down the claimants as a "war of attrition" that re-traumatises people.
