Sharad Pawar clears party’s stand on Opposition unity

While addressing a Press Conference in Mumbai on June 10, National Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar spoke on Opposition’s unity. He said that NCP’s focus is to unite the entire opposition and he will personally take efforts in that direction. He said, “I cannot talk about Congress’ role in Opposition’s unity. However, what I know is, Mallikarjun Kharge, who is the Congress President today, called me into a meeting and discussed how the Opposition can work on forming unity. Rahul Gandhi was also part of the meeting. Our focus is that we will try to unite all the opposition parties and I will try my best on a personal level.
