Forum Comunicazione, prof. Dominici (Univ. Perugia): “Pensare le organizzazioni come organismi, complessità è strutturale”

(Adnkronos) - “Emergenza e imprevedibilità sono variabili costitutive. Stiamo prendendo consapevolezza di come la complessità sia strutturale nelle organizzazioni. La comunicazione è il terreno su cui ricostruire una concezione differente delle organizzazioni pensate e progettate come organismi e non come meccanismi”. Lo ha dichiarato Piero Dominici, Professore dell’Università degli Studi di Perugia, Fellow WAAS e Delegato ufficiale UNESCO, a margine del Forum Comunicazione 2023 organizzato da Comunicazione Italiana e tenutosi presso il Palazzo dell’informazione di Adnkronos a Roma.

00:05 Regarding the question I was asked about,

00:10 emergency and unpredictability as constitutive elements,

00:14 well, we are becoming aware,

00:19 not in a very quick way,

00:23 of how the complexity is connatured,

00:27 both in the structural dimension of organizations,

00:31 of our lives, of any form of life.

00:34 Complexity, which indicates the absolutely systemic and relational dimension

00:42 of all the so-called organic aggregates,

00:45 therefore of all forms of life, once again,

00:48 of everything that has to do with the social and the human.

00:52 Emergency and unpredictability, once again,

00:55 and I apologize for the repetition,

00:57 are structural dimensions and variables

01:01 constitutive of the complexity we are talking about.

01:05 This makes it clear how challenging, difficult,

01:09 and for me impossible, it is to manage the complexity to the end.

01:13 We can try to inhabit it,

01:15 but above all, how much the challenge of trying to inhabit

01:18 and even at a first level recognize, describe, observe

01:22 the complexity of complex systems,

01:25 is a challenge that is in the first place educational and epistemological.

01:30 That is, to educate and train people,

01:33 who will be citizens one day,

01:35 not to see systems as objects,

01:38 within a thought that continues to be disjunctive,

01:42 but to see objects as systems.

01:45 And so, on all this, the culture of communication,

01:48 needless to say, is the ground on which to rebuild

01:51 that absolutely lost dialogue,

01:54 and in some ways suffered, among the disciplinary fields,

01:57 the real nerve discovered of the time we are going through,

02:01 and it is the ground on which to rebuild

02:03 a different conception of organizations,

02:06 thought, designed and realized,

02:09 not as mechanisms, but as organisms.
