( Scary !) using some "old school" synths / modules and my trusty Roland Mc 500 Seq .

1. It was first recorded in 1969 by its composer Gershon Kingsley for the album "Music to Moog By"

2. Gershon Kingsley was born in Bochum, Westfalia, Germany on October 28, 1922

3. In 1972 it was re-recorded by "Hot Butter" and became a worldwide hit

4. In France it is the 131st best-selling single of all time, with over 900,000 sales

5. The title refers to the short staccato sound used

6. More than 500 cover versions of the song exist .
