The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, speaking ahead of the final Open Iftar event of 2023.
Held in Trafalgar Square during the holy month of Ramadan, the organisers of Open Iftar, Ramadan Tent Project, invited people of any faith and none to join them to break fast and listen to a range of inspirational speakers.
The charity had already taken the Open Iftar to 10 UK cities in celebration of the charity's 10-year anniversary, with more than 3,000 attending the Trafalgar Square event.
