अस्पतालों (Hospitals)में अक्सर हम देखते हैं कि डॉक्टर (Doctor) जब सर्जरी (Surgery) के लिए ऑपरेशन थियेटर (Operation Theater) में जाते हैं. उस वक्त वो हरे (Green) या नीले (Blue)कपड़े पहने होते हैं. क्या ये अस्पताल का ड्रेस कोड (Dress Code) है या इसके पीछे कोई वजह है. या फिर इसके पीछे कोई साइंस है. बिल्कुल साइंस (Science) ही है. क्योंकि हरे और नीले रंग प्रकाश के स्पेक्ट्रम पर लाल के अपोजिट (Opposites of Red on The Spectrum of Light)होते हैं. सर्जरी करते वक्त सर्जन (Surgeon) का सामना ज्यादातर लाल रंगों पर ही केंद्रित होता है. ऐसे में हरे और नीले रंग उनकी देख पाने की क्षमता बढ़ाते हैं. साथ ही लाल के प्रति अधिक संवेदनशील (Sensitive to Red) भी बनाते हैं.
