ACT government announces inquiry into Bruce Lehrmann trial

  • last year
The ACT government has announced an inquiry into concerns raised about the prosecution of former liberal staffer Bruce Lehrmann. Mr Lehrmann's trial over the alleged rape of Brittany Higgins at parliament house in 2019 was abandoned after juror's misconduct. Mr Lehrmann maintains his innocence and there have been no findings against him with a retrial abandoned due to concerns about Ms Higgins’s health.
