Nancy Pelosi's husband, Paul Pelosi, .
has been charged with one count of “attempted kidnapping of a U.S. official.”.
DePape was prepared to detain and injure Speaker Pelosi when he entered the Pelosi residence in the early morning of October 28, 2022, FBI agent, via sworn affidavit.
DePape had zip ties, tape, rope, and at least one hammer with
him that morning, FBI agent, via sworn affidavit.
DePape was also charged with one count of assault , of a member of the immediate family of a U.S. official with an intent to retaliate against such an official on account of the performance of official duties.

That charge alone carries a
30-year maximum prison sentence. .
CNN reports that Paul Pelosi was speaking in code to 911 as the situation escalated.
Pelosi stated words to the effect of there is a male in the home and that the male is going to wait for Pelosi’s wife. Pelosi further conveyed that he does not know who the male is. The male said his name is David, FBI agent, via sworn affidavit.
Paul underwent skull surgery after the attack but is expected to fully recover.
