Victorian floods over 12 metres in town of Murchison, damaging up to 50 homes

The small village of Murchison about 167 kilometres north of Melbourne has been inundated with water at 12 metres breaking records. Authorities are hopeful it has now stabilised, but locals are still preparing to defend their properties
