This lick is in the key of C♯ major blues.
This lick is based on C♯ minor pentatonic scale.
B.B. King does index finger bends on the 4th in B.B. King Box (F♯ in this case.)
It is hard to bend with your index finger in this position. I'm using 08 string and it still hurts when I play index finger bends on the high E string. It should be easier to play with a shorter scale guitar because it has less tension. Strats and Telecasters generally have more tension on their strings.
If it's too hard, try playing the lick in a different position and fingering.
In fact, it is important to try playing the same licks in different positions so you'll be able to play all over the neck.
