8-year-old raped, killed in Delhi, accused arrested

An eight-year-old girl was raped and brutally killed in Delhi's Yamuna Khadar area after she saw the accused in a compromising position with her mother with whom he was in a relationship. According to DCP Shweta Chauhan, “Rizwan alias Badshah, who is a butcher by profession slit her throat and mutilated her face.”
While talking to ANI, she said, “The incident took place on intervening night of 4-5 Aug, PCR had received a call at 5 am. We did extensive search, searched CCTV footage & interrogated people in vicinity. Rain impeded our investigation, still we continued. Body was found on 18th August. Operation was scaled up.
Several teams & over 50 Police personnel were a part of it. We questioned everyone in the area & all members of the family. We activated our informers in the area. CCTV footage examined & CDR links of family's only mobile phone collected.” “Rizwan alias Badshah used to visit the house and was in a relationship with the mother of the deceased. He is a butcher by profession. He confessed to the crime - the victim had seen him with her mother & he didn't want it to come out in the open,” she added.
