Immunity period slashed from 12 weeks to 28 days

There are set to be more changes to COVID guidelines, with the length of time a person is considered immune after an infection to be slashed from 12 weeks to four. The government's health advisory group is concerned at the growing number of people being re-infected in a shorter time period. Chief medical officer, Paul Kelly says omicron subvariants BA-4 and BA-5 are fast becoming the dominant versions of the virus.
