In a statement to the House of Commons, health secretary Sajid Javid revealed the Ockenden report of Shrewsbury and Telford hospital NHS Trust which “paints a tragic and harrowing picture” of “multiple failures in care over two decades”.

Javid committed to implementing “all the recommendations in the report”.

When asked by Telford MP Lucy Allan about women’s voices not being heard, Javid told the House that “women’s voices will be at the heart of the upcoming women’s health strategy”.
