The Holy Dormition Nikolo-Vasilievsky Monastery in the village of Nikolskoye is the largest of the newly founded monasteries in Ukraine. The number of the brethren is about 250 people, but now there are about 500 people on the territory of the monastery, most of whom are civilians.

Some of the buildings of the monastery were seriously damaged as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian side. Despite this, people live here.
