Kawasaki officially launched the new Kawasaki KLR 650 motorcycle . This dual purpose motorcycle was reborn after being injected to death in 2018. Kawasaki doesn't seem willing to let the KLR 650 really be buried. Moreover, the KLR 650 has a fairly long portfolio and has been around since 1987.

By design, the front of the KLR 650 is slightly tied to the Versys 250 but is more robust. The off-road front fender is different from the Versys 650 which is more adventure touring.

As a two-world motorcycle , the legs are equipped with a telescopic front suspension with a diameter of 41 mm and a monoshock rear suspension with adjustable preload. 21-inch front and 17-inch rear rims ensure the bike can get through rough terrain. While the chassis is designed to get a more ideal geometry.

Braking at the front of the 300 mm disc is clamped by dual piston calipers, while the rear 240 mm disc is clamped by a single piston. There are two versions available, namely ABS and non-ABS.

The 652 cc single cylinder engine is the same as before, but now has injection. Kawasaki said power output increased but did not elaborate further.

The torque is 54 Nm at 4,500 rpm. That power is mated to an upgraded five-speed gearbox for smoother gearshifts. In the United States, the KLR 650 has four variants, namely standard, ABS, Traveler and the most complete KLR 650 Adventure. The official price is 6,999 US dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 94.3 million.
