Volvo Race Village : http://www.neelaearth.com
Yes, it is called the traditional ambience that overwhelms the traveler. It is Kochi. The Queen of the Arabian Sea looked her best when she was chosen as the stopover the prestigious Volvo Ocean Race. A Race Village has been set up in Willingdon Island here, to welcome the participants of the race and get them in loving touch with the people of Kochi. With an area covering 2.5 acres, the village showcased the very best of Kerala, in a miniature form. It was a delightful experience for the travelers to be here, with many exhibitions as well as lifestyle shows. The cultural performances held here continuously for ten days set the spirits high. The enjoyment was without any barriers, the hosts and the guests being of one soul. Sure… Kochi will wait for another such experience… and the travelers who visited here too!
