Metaverse Tokens Make Huge Run Over the Weekend

Metaverse tokens are getting a lot of traction in the crypto market as more popular and valuable tokens continue to tumble. While some of these names may be new to you, the biggest gainers of the week shone a light on a crypto market that feels like it needs a shot in the arm. Synthetix, the token of a synthetic asset insurance protocol, rose more than 30% last week, continuing to recover after reaching its all-time high last February. Flow is a token related to game design and the creation of digital assets, and it picked up over 28% last week after announcing that it is launching an NFT collection from the International Cricket Council via FanCraze. This collection plans to bring iconic ICC moments to cricket fans worldwide, calling it, “just the start of the Crictos Metaverse.” The Sandbox is linked to a blockchain-based virtual world, and it gained over 23% in the last week, recovering after it reached its all-time high in November. Plus, Sandbox tweeted last week that Warner Music Group will host live concerts and musical experiences on its LAND in the metaverse. Theta Fuel serves as a utility and gas token for the Theta project, and it rose over 22% last week after Theta announced it would release the TDROP token on February 1st. Finally, at press time, Decentraland was trading at $2.58, up almost 5% on a rising market cap and a sharp jump in volume.
