Saudi pilot Abdullah Saleh al-Ghamdi says the only reason planes do not pass through Makkah's airspace is is because of the Saudi government's ban on the route. Saudi aviation expert pilot Abdullah al-Ghamdi has denied the allegations in a video message released on his Twitter account. He denied social media false claim of that no plane could fly in the skies of the holy city due to the strong siege of Makkah Mukarramah magnetic field. Pilot Al-Ghamdi added that that the real reason was not a magnetic field but but the Saudi government had banned airlines from entering the airspace of Makkah Mukarramah in the route given to them keeping in view the sanctity of Haram Sharif. In this regard, it has been clarified several times before that in view of the sanctity of Haram Sharif, no air route has been maintained there. Explaining another reason for not having an air route, Al-Ghamdi said The scientific reason for this is that Makkah is surrounded by high and lofty mountains where the air pressure is high enough. As the ships pass by, the noise increases due to the air pressure Which would be a nuisance for the pilgrims in Masjid-ul-Haram. That is why the Saudi government has banned air routes there in Mecca.
