Giant umbrellas installed in the courtyards of Masjid Nabawi in Saudi Arabia are the center of attention of visitors due to their design, utility and attractiveness. Pilgrims visiting Masjid Nabawi sit for hours in the mosque's vast courtyards where they pray and take photos and videos of the giant umbrellas opening and closing to commemorate their stay in Medina. 250 giant umbrellas have been installed in the courtyards of Masjid Nabawi to provide shade to visitors. These mosques are built around the Prophet's courtyards. Each umbrella installed in the courtyards of the Prophet's Mosque consists of two parts. One of them is lower and the other is upper. When the umbrella is closed, the two parts become equal. A canopy has a circumference of 25.5x25.5 meters, a height of 22 meters while the weight is about 40 tons. The umbrellas open automatically at sunrise and close at sunset. Gold watered brass is incorporated into the design of these giant umbrellas. 436 jet fans are also installed on the canopies. These fans help to reduce the temperature and make the weather pleasant. Apart from this, more than 1000 lamps have been installed in the umbrellas of the Prophet's Mosque. More than 900 visitors come under one umbrella.
