Celebrities join calls for Dame Vera Lynn memorial in Dover

Sir Paul McCartney and Katherine Jenkins have thrown their support behind a campaign for a Dame Vera Lynn memorial in Dover.

The singer, who entertained troops with morale boosting visits to the front line in World War Two died in June last year.

Although she'll always be connected with the White Cliffs, campaigners want a dedicated statue to the iconic star.
