People are entitled to eat what they want: Gujarat BJP chief on non-veg stalls ban
  • 2 years ago
After Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation imposed a ban on the sale of non-vegetarian food items at stalls alongside public roads, BJP state president CR Paatil on November 16 said that people are entitled to eat what they want and reason for removal could be something else and not because they were selling vegetarian or non-vegetarian. “No one has taken such a decision. People are entitled to eat what they want and BJP will never try to stop it. Reason for removal could be something else and not because they were selling veg, non-veg food,” said Paatil. “There is one minister who had said that there is encroachment of footpaths because of these carts... they should be removed. But he (the minister) as well as all the (city) mayors have been told that there is no plan to stop them (carts and stalls),” he added.
