Emotional scenes at airport as Australians return home

There have been emotional scenes at Sydney Airport this morning with the new international border opening after being practically shut, for 20 months. Australians stranded overseas can now return without any quarantine requirements, but they must be fully vaccinated with a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine and submit a negative test result. Australians can also now board a plane without needing a valid reason to leave the country.
