Though there has been no official statement from Osfted, Amnada Spielman Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Schools, appears in this segment once again calling for a register of all electively home educated children. It should be noted that whilst she denies that she is arguing for a national register of EHE children, she adds "that would be several, several steps beyond anything we have ever talked about or contemplated." That could be interpreted as meaning it is not on Ofsted's agenda, or that they realise that it is far too much to call for at this stage.
Well done to the two families who ran the gauntlet of being interviewed by media which is often hostile to home educators.
