While the principals were still alive, there were rumours of a film starring Garbo, Monroe and Clift.
As "we all know" it was never to happen, but I have made this production as a tribute to that idea - and the 1944 MGM adaptation of the 1891 Oscar Wilde novel - as well as the films Miss Garbo made on the Metro lot.
