Phil Foden is aiming high at this year’s European Championship and did not shy away from his ambition to emulate Paul Gascoigne’s Euro 96 heroics for England.

With a new bleach blonde haircut similar to that of Gazza’s from 25 years ago, Foden believes England can go all the way and sounded fearless in saying he feels absolutely no pressure.

The prestigious 21-year-old midfielder wants to put his UEFA Champions League final heartache with Manchester City behind him as he looks to inspire England to a first ever European Championship trophy.

Meanwhile, Luke Shaw talked up the importance of Harry Maguire’s presence within the squad, despite the influential centre back not yet being fully fit, and hailed the unity and togetherness within the camp.

Ben White described his inclusion in England’s final 26-mansquad as ‘surreal’, with the defender not even expecting to make the provisional 33-man squad which was selected a fortnight ago.
