Episode starts with Jigyasa - The Quest related to Space and Solar Eclipse. Starts with general myths being practiced by many people of India and the Journey of the Quest begins.
Dr. Jayant Vishnu Narlikar (J. V. Narlikar) - the world's well-known Astrophysicist from India, prepared concept and script for this Series Brahmand - The Universe. In the mid-80s Narlikar compared Carl Sagan's famous serial "The Cosmos" with a Hindi introduction in the beginning. This was greatly liked by the audience since the summary of the episode in Hindi conveyed to the audience the broad scope of what was to be presented. Taking a cue from the success of this serial, Narlikar proposed to the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi that a serial in astronomy in Hindi should be screened on Indian television. This suggestion was readily taken up and Narlikar was asked to devise the serial to be made by the Films Division of India. This serial in 17 parts (Right Now We Have 14 Parts) was completed and shown in India on several occasions during 1994-95. In a simple language with the help of stories and anecdotes this serial called "Brahmand" (The Universe) describes the exciting discoveries in astronomy. Because of participation by school children, this serial has reached a large section of the younger population.

डॉ. जयंत विष्णु नार्लीकर (जे. वी. नार्लीकर) - भारत के एक प्रसिद्ध खगोल भौतिक विज्ञानी ने इस श्रृंखला ब्रह्माण्ड द यूनिवर्स के लिए अवधारणा और स्क्रिप्ट तैयार की। 80 के दशक के मध्य में नार्लीकर ने कार्ल सागन के प्रसिद्ध धारावाहिक "द कॉसमॉस" की तुलना शुरुआत में एक हिंदी परिचय से की। यह दर्शकों द्वारा बहुत पसंद किया गया था क्योंकि हिंदी में एपिसोड के सारांश ने दर्शकों को व्यापक दायरे से अवगत कराया था कि क्या प्रस्तुत किया जाना है। इस धारावाहिक की सफलता से प्रेरणा लेते हुए, नार्लीकर ने तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी को प्रस्ताव दिया कि भारतीय टेलीविजन पर खगोल विज्ञान में हिंदी में एक धारावाहिक दिखाया जाना चाहिए। इस सुझाव को तुरंत स्वीकार कर लिया गया और नार्लीकर को भारत के फिल्म प्रभाग द्वारा बनाए जाने वाले धारावाहिक को तैयार करने के लिए कहा गया। 17 भागों में यह धारावाहिक (अभी हमारे पास 14 भाग हैं) 1994-95 के दौरान कई अवसरों पर भारत में पूरा और दिखाया गया था। कहानियों और उपाख्यानों की मदद से सरल भाषा में "ब्रह्मांड" (ब्रह्मांड) नामक इस धारावाहिक में खगोल विज्ञान में रोमांचक खोजों का वर्णन किया गया है। स्कूली बच्चों की भागीदारी के कारण यह धारावाहिक युवा आबादी के एक बड़े वर्ग तक पहुंच गया है।
