The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh for his alleged involvement in corruption on the allegations of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh. Anil Deshmukh along with unknown others have been named as accused in the FIR by the CBI.
The CBI also conducted searches at several premises, including the residence of Anil Deshmukh in Mumbai and other places.
