Zayre / WXFL News ID / Sun. Night @ the Movies bump-in

Zayre was a popular discount retail chain of stores in the late 20th century, and one I clearly remember for its asterisk-like logo and the orange and brown color scheme that accompanied most of its stores in the Tampa region and elsewhere. It was a common stop for clothing, toys, and school supplies as a kid, before the mega-supercenters of Wal-mart began sprouting up. Zayre was bought out by Ames in the late '80s. Tampa stores were converted to the Ames nameplate soon after, and by 1994, Zayre/Ames faded into retail history in the Tampa area, while the entire chain went out of business by 2002.

Also included in this 1986 clip are a four-second "news ID" from WXFL (originally and now called WFLA) and the NBC Sunday Night at the Movies bump-in.
