The parade began with members from the Royal British Legion motorcycle rders group running past Perth City Centre. The majority of the riders are ex-military wearing their berets and come from all parts of Scotland.
The parade stayed very dry for the parade however the Tattoo performance was hit with a torrential downpour of rain which lasted for hours! I've been wet many times but the rain that day was one of the worst I've ever experienced so bad I had to stop filming. I remember another time watching the live Edinburgh Tattoo where it was equally as bad from two different years in 2011 and 2015.
The Perth Salute Scotland event was the fourth year in a row the event has ran for and includes a mix of international pipe and military bands including local bands from across Perthshire.
