WHY ARE YOU IGNORING OLD FOLKS?

Today I met an older gentleman. I don't use to talk to older people on the streets, but this small talk changed my mindset. I appreciate Stavros (the older gentleman) for this pleasant chat.
Maybe you will find some meaning in this short story too.
Maybe old people shouldn't be neglected as useless antiques of the past in boring and shady nursing homes.
Maybe they should be an active part of our communities, honorable and valuable, connected to our youth, as long as they have something valuable to say (and not just complain as some boomers do).
Let us all chat with older people and bridge the gap that our cities have created. Sons and daughters should live near their parents, and near their grandparents. That was how it was for thousands of years, and only the degenerate cities changed that. Let's rethink how we should live.
Independence is not cool. Dependence is not cool either. But interdependence sounds like an awesome and logical way to go...
