Former Congress Mayor Sampath Raj held in Bengaluru riots case; Delhi air quality 'moderate'; more

The Central Crime Branch has arrested former mayor and sitting Congress Corporator R Sampath Raj who was named an accused in the Bengaluru violence case. He has been brought to the CCB for questioning and will be produced before the magistrate today

Meanwhile, the quality of air has shown slight improvement in some parts of Delhi as light rains lashed the national capital region after Diwali.

As per Central Pollution Control Board data, Air Quality Index in ITO area is at 176, in Moderate category, 173 (moderate category) in Anand Vihar, 205 in RK Puram (Poor), at 213 in Najafgarh (Poor) and at 90 in Lodhi Road (Satisfactory).
