Amit Shukla, Who Cancelled Zomato Order Over 'Non-Hindu' Delivery Boy, Gets Police Notice

In a bizarre incident, a Zomato customer named Amit Shukla cancelled his order because of a ‘non-Hindu’ delivery guy. He had tweeted about the same. Zomato replied to the customer saying, ‘Food doesn’t have a religion. It is a religion’. Zomato’s response was widely praised on social media. Now, the Madhya Pradesh police have decided to initiate ‘preventive action’ against Amit Shukla, a resident of Jabalpur. Though no formal case has been filed, the police said it had taken suo moto notice of the Twitter post.
