Watch as large waves from savage autumn storm batters the 111 year old pier at Tynemouth

Local videographer Ian Mcclelland captured these huge waves crashing into the pier at Tynemouth in the northeast of England. This early autumn storm was unusually intense with wind speeds reaching up to 70mph off the north sea.
