A waste of taxpayers' money. That is how three parliamentary committees have described the five-month old Beitbridge border fence. They say the new fence commissioned to keep the SA border safe during COVID-19 is more useless, than the secondary 37 year old fence. Public Works Director-General, Sam Vukela, is one of 14 officials that has been suspended for the mess, but he is hitting back at Minister Patricia De Lille.
