Sanlam and FnB hit by COVID-19

Sanlam has emerged as the only major insurer to post a first-half profit amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Financial services group FirstRand, which owns FNB, Rand Merchant Bank and WesBank has taken a hefty profit hit as consumers struggled to repay loans.
