A prayer meeting was held on Mother Teresa's death anniversary at the Headquarters of the Missionary of Charity, Kolkata, on her death anniversary and paid tribute to her. Apart from India, in many countries of the world, he devoted his entire life to the service of the oppressed, the sick, the orphans, the poor and the helpless.

भारत सहित दुनिया के कई देशों में दीन-दुखियों की सेवा में अपना जीवन समर्पित करने वालीं मदर टेरेसा की आज पुण्यतिथि है.5 सितंबर 1997 को दिल का दौरा पड़ने से उनकी मौत हो गई थी. उनकी पुण्यतिथि पर कोलकाता स्थित मिशनरी ऑफ चैरिटी के मुख्‍यालय में मदर टेरेसा की पुण्यतिथि पर प्रार्थना सभा आयोजित की गई.और उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि दी। भारत के अलावा दुनिया के कई देशों में उन्‍होंने दीन-दुखियों, बीमार, अनाथ, गरीब और असहाय लोगों की सेवा में अपना पूरा जीवन समर्पित कर दिया था
