How To Thrift DIANE KEATON’s Looks Using ONLY Thrifted Items | Bustle
  • 4 years ago
Diane Keaton pretty much invented the manic pixie dream girl trope in film.

As Annie Hall, she ushered in an era of the female lead who subverted traditionally feminine fashion with tailored menswear. In ‘Baby Boom,’ she took power-dressing to new heights with cinched waists and shoulder pads that could take a corporate opponent’s eye out. As a founding member of ‘The First Wives Club,’ she gave us the camel coat look that is still imitated on runways and in streetwear alike. As an endlessly relatable rom-com icon, Keaton has created characters whose fashion sense is wearable, timeless, and perfect for thrift store imitation. In this episode of Thrift The Legend, art director Diana Weisman is joined by inimitable Bry Crasch to show us how to recreate Diane’s classic style.

In our latest series Thrift The Legend, Bustle Art Director Diana Weisman is taking inspiration from the icons, real and imagined, to see if she can create their looks using only thrifted items.
