Snakes can eat chicken especially the baby chicks. The baby chicks are small and defenseless. They cannot defend themselves against predators. Adult chicken however can atleast fight the snake and can sometimes win against them. Adult chicken are fast and they use their wings to distract the snake and also scare them. Although this tactic my not work against snakes like king cobra but it works against most snakes. You can keep multiple chicken together along with few roosters to protect themselves against snakes and other predators. Rooster are big and aggressive and they can attack the snake the moment it faces it. As a result the snake may be caught off-guard. The roosters might die in the process but will be able to save the whole pack. Regardless of how much they try if the snake is extremely hungry then it will capture something and will satisfy it's hunger before it moves away from that place.
