The families of three Lily Mine workers say they have made progress in the litigation against the mine’s management. The workers were trapped underground at the Mpumalanga mine after a tremor caused parts of the mine collapsed four years ago. Former Johannesburg mayor Herman Mashaba stepped in and committed himself to helping the families to find closure. State lawyers are finally responding.
