A noodle seller was arrested for allegedly stealing bras and knickers from a woman he was infatuated with.

Thana Rattanachantha, 39, was handcuffed while cooking bowls of noodles for his customers at his food truck in Nonthaburi, central Thailand on August 10.

Resident Mathurot Luensukhon, 28, filed a complaint to the police after she allegedly found a man take her 14 pieces of lingerie that were missing and checked the CCTV to find them.

The security camera showed how the pervert sat down on his knees and took the lingerie from a hanger before hiding them inside his jeans and went out as if nothing happened.

She said: "I was confused where my underpants had gone. When I checked the CCTV, I then knew that they were stolen by a man who I did not even know."

The police took Thana back to his house where they found dozens of pieces of underwear that he allegedly stolen and kept in the bedroom.

The suspect was later taken to Bangbuathong police station for further questioning where Mathurot confirmed that she owned the underpants found in the man's house.

The police officers also positively identified him as the man on the CCTV footage stealing the clothing.

Police Colonel Siripob Anusiri said: "The noodle vendor confessed that he stole the woman's underwear. He said that he had a secret crush on her for four months. He was in love her with but she did not even know him.''

The policeman added that there will be further investigations to check what Thana had done with the stolen underwear as well as compensation negotiations with the alleged victim before the possibility of theft charges are filed.
