Bleak picture painted about the country's municipalities

The latest Municipal Financial Sustainability Index is painting a bleak picture about the country's municipalities. According to Ratings Africa's other than the Western Cape, most municipalities are unable to take care of their finances. The province scored 59 percent, followed by KwaZulu-Natal at 41 percent and Northern Cape at 35 percent. Leon Claasen from Ratings Africa unpacks this.
