An eccentric lottery winner celebrated her birthday by spreading banknotes and gold necklaces worth 300,000 THB (7,582GBP) from the sky by a paramotor.

Footage from last Sunday (July 12) morning shows locals gathering on the field to try and catch the money in Udon Thani, northeastern Thailand.

Businesswoman Wannalee Panyasai, 48, said she had won the 90 million THB (2.2 million GBP) lottery prize back in November 2019 said she just want to spread the happiness.

She said: "I am fully aware that the money I received from winning the lottery price is purely from good luck, so I think I should spread that good fortune to other people."

Millions of Thais play the government-controlled lottery every month. There are two draws each month - once on the 15th and once on the last day of the month.
