Clearing the air around recent reports that claimed Google Pay was being restricted by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the electronic payment and settlement systems infrastructure agency NPCI has noted that the RBI has authorised the platform it as a payment system operator (PSO) of the UPI platform and NPCI in its capacity as PSO authorises all UPI participants.
