"There's Power in Numbers": Thousands MARCH in a revolt against racism and police brutality

Thousands of Angelenos took to the streets in Los Angeles County in demonstrations to condemn excessive police force and stand in solidarity with the Black community and all those working toward racial equality. In the wake of the death of George Floyd, who died in police custody in Minneapolis and Breona Taylor who was killed by police while sleeping in her bed during a police raid in Louisville, millions around the world have taken notice. Large, peaceful protests filled the streets with demonstrators excited to take part in the historic moment. The march began at Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street and made its way into West Hollywood and onto Beverly Hills, then back through West Hollywood. There were no incidents reported of violence or confrontations with police. Journalist Germany Kent walks alongside protestors in the Southland at a critical juncture in local and national history.
