In 2020 the study from the University of Arizona suggests that the object (Fomalhault) was never an exoplanet, but an effect of a collision between asteroid-size bodies, creating a vast amount of dust. Although those events are rare, it may be a possible explanation of the obtained data. The next observations are scheduled in 2020-2021 to validate that hypothesis. So far, Dagon is in the category of a candidate planet, and just like the Semic God it was named after, its divinity will be a part of great interest in exoplanets…
